Mexico 2011!!!

We are excited to announce that Grace Baptist Church in Calgary, Alberta, Canada will be sending a group of families and individuals to Mexico in July 2011 to build two homes for some needy families!!!  We are joining forces with a great organization called Hero Holidays...

Grace Baptist has done a couple of similar trips in the past with the youth group and this year decided to try it out with entire families and other individuals wishing to participate.

Nothing tells the story like photos...

take an eager group of people anxious to make a difference in their world...

and put them on a LONG bus ride...

to build a new home for a needy family (here is the old home)...

so construction begins...

with everyone working together...

many local children come around to get some TLC...

or play a game of soccer...

while others stand and watch...

and after some hard work mixed in with some great fun...

a new home takes form...

not a home like we would expect back here in Canada, but one that puts a smile on the faces of the families that receive them...

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED????

1.  Join us on the trip!!!!!!

2.  Help us with our fundraising events!!!!!  We have a variety of fundraisers planned over the next few months and we would love to have you participate in them!!  Watch this blog for more information!!

3.  Sponsor the trip!!!!  If you have a company or business that would like to donate to the cause, we would love to chat!!  Each home costs $6000 to build so we are hoping to raise those funds plus extra to cover a portion of our expenses to travel (food, accommodations, bus transportation, etc.)

4.  Prayer support!!!!!  We  believe that there is power in prayer and we covet and appreciate your prayers through this entire endeavor.  We will provide a prayer guide for the actual trip as well so please let us know if you would like to receive that.
